all personally as this year my aim is ensure the Charity has a big presence
in Albert Square during Manchester Day, Sunday 22 June.Manchester Day is a hugely popular annual event which draws thousands on to
the streets of the city centre to celebrate not only everything that is
great about Manchester but most of all its fantastic community spirit.
Every year thousands of people from communities right across the city turn
out to bring the city alive and create a parade full of colour, fun,
diversity and vibrance. My plan this year is for the Charity to have large and visual presence in
Albert Square during Manchester Day. This will provide a great opportunity
to not only raise the charity’s profile, interact with our communities but
also help raise important funds to help us continue to support community
projects like yours which I know are important to Manchester People. So this year I am asking all our supporters, groups, projects and
communities we have supported over the past few years to consider helping
out and get involved as a volunteer during the day. If this is something
you, your colleagues, members of your project or community would like to
support me with then please email welovemcrcharity@manchester.gov.uk –
stating your full name, age, daytime tel number and name of organisation /
group / project etc. Further details will be circulated once we receive your expression of
interest. (**Please note there is a minimum age restriction volunteers) Please feel free to circulate this to your contacts.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you in advance and lets make
this years’ Manchester Day the best ever…
